Journalist Cannon to Discuss Campaigns

Longtime political reporter Lou Cannon will look back on the triumphs and tribulations of the Clinton and Dole presidential campaigns during a free lecture at Cal Lutheran University on Nov. 15.

Cannon, a White House correspondent for the Washington Post, will speak on campus in the Preus-Brandt Forum, 60 W. Olsen Road, at 10 a.m. as part of the university’s ongoing “Searching for Common Ground” fall lecture series.

An author of four books, Cannon also writes a syndicated weekly column for the Washington Post Writers Group.

Cannon is the recipient of the Aldo Beckman and Merriman Smith awards for excellence in presidential news coverage during the Reagan presidency. He is also the current journalist in residence at the Annenberg School for Communication at USC.
