Jamie Baker scored his first goal as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the St. Louis Blues, 6-3, Tuesday night for their sixth victory in seven games.

Baker, traded from San Jose to Toronto in the offseason, combined with checking-line teammates Todd Warriner and Mike Craig for three goals and four assists.

Blues goaltender Grant Fuhr was replaced by Jon Casey seven minutes into the second period after Baker’s goal. Baker, finishing off the work of Warriner and Craig, shot over Fuhr’s right shoulder for a 4-1 lead. Fuhr left the game having made six saves on 10 shots and came back in at 15:20 of the third and stopped one of two shots.
