Jay Leno, Music and Bikers at the Love Ride

Share

Jay Leno returns as grand marshal of the 13th annual Love Ride, a fund-raiser and a fun time for bike lovers. (The event is expected to raise more than $1 million for the Muscular Dystrophy Assn.) A motorcycle caravan, which this year consists of thousands of motorcycles, departs Harley-Davidson of Glendale, 3717 San Fernando Road, Glendale, at 10 a.m. The bikers (and all others are welcome too) will meet at Castaic Lake Recreation Center for a concert, barbecue and trade show. Headliners this year are Crosby, Stills & Nash, a band that still thrives after 25 years together (a summer tour is planned for next year). Also scheduled to attend the ride are Peter Fonda, Lorenzo Lamas, Sally Kirkland, Bruce Jenner and ZZ Top.

Ride registration is 6-10 a.m. at the Glendale bike shop; the Castaic events run 11 a.m.-5 p.m. (take I-5 to Lake Hughes Road exit, Santa Clarita). $45 for ride and / or festival (includes food and concert). (818) 246-5618.
