Clipper update--Off to their best start since 1991, when they won four of their first five games, the Clippers will try to win their second consecutive game against the Knicks. They beat the Knicks, 105-88, March 5 at New York. The Clippers have lost three consecutive home games and nine of their last 10 home games to the Knicks. Center Kevin Duckworth has made only two of 10 shots in his last two games.

Knick update--John Starks, who became the Knicks’ sixth man this season, is averaging 15.3 points, 5.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds. After opening with two victories, they lost to the Lakers, 98-92, Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. Forward Charles Oakley, who was suspended for the first two games of the season for an altercation with forward Charles Barkley in an exhibition against the Houston Rockets, had 11 rebounds against the Lakers.
