Ex-Monarch Jackson Left UC Irvine for Orange Coast

Shaun Jackson, who did not return to UC Irvine this fall, enrolled at Orange Coast College, said Jack Shinar, the school’s sports information director.

Jackson, a former standout basketball player at Mater Dei, enrolled at Wyoming after he graduated in 1995. He left Wyoming last December, two weeks after being suspended for one game for what Coach Joby Wright said were problems with team interaction. He averaged 6.5 points in six games.

Jackson transferred to Irvine for the spring semester but would not have been eligible to join the Anteater basketball team until the 1997-98 season.
