Rucchin Has Mixed Feelings About Goal

Instead of pumping his fist or raising his arms in celebration, center Steve Rucchin reacted without much emotion after scoring his first goal of the season on Friday.

Certainly, he was happy to score after going 12 games without a goal and being scratched for the next three games, but he wasn’t sure how to react.

“It was a good feeling, but it’s only one goal in 13 games,” Rucchin said of his first-period goal during the Ducks’ 7-4 victory over the Kings. “I had kind of a mixed reaction. It was not that satisfying. But you’ve got to start somewhere. You’ve got to get one before you can get two.”
