The person who purchased a lottery ticket in Simi Valley worth $1.5 million in Wednesday night’s Super Lotto has yet to come forward and claim the prize, according to California Lottery officials.

The ticket, one of two that matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s $3-million twice-weekly Super Lotto, was purchased at Kuehner Liquor & Food Mart, 2315 Kuehner Drive, according to lottery officials. The other ticket was purchased in La Habra.

The winning numbers are: 12, 24, 29, 46, 47 and 50.

Baljit Singh, manager of the store in Simi Valley, said he believes one of the winning tickets was purchased after 5 p.m. Tuesday by a regular customer. One of the store’s regulars, an unidentified man, bought 35 of the $1 Super Lotto tickets, Singh said.

When the man pulled up in the parking lot Thursday afternoon, Singh was ready. “I saw this regular customer and I’m thinking maybe it’s him. So I open the door and tell him to run,” Singh said.

Alas, the numbers did not match.

Singh was still waiting Thursday night and still convinced the winner was one of his regulars. In 1994 a regular customer purchased a ticket that was worth $25,000, he said.

No matter the amount, Singh said the publicity generated by a winning ticket is always good for lottery business. Besides, the lottery will pay the retailer $8,000 for selling one of the winning tickets.

“I’m very excited about this,” he said.
