Opponent--Dallas Stars.

Site--Reunion Arena, Dallas.

Time--5:30 PST.

Radio--KEZY-FM (95.9)

Records--Ducks 4-11-3, Stars 11-5-1.

Record vs. Stars--0-1.

Duck update--Just when they got used to having Paul Kariya back, the Ducks are without him again after he suffered a concussion in Wednesday’s 3-2 victory over Toronto. Several players who recently emerged from slumps could help the Ducks get through this stretch without their star. Jari Kurri, who went eight games without a point, has a goal and three assists in the last four games. Backup goalie Mikhail Shtalenkov has been sharp the last three games, but Coach Ron Wilson indicated he might go with Guy Hebert tonight and play Shtalenkov Sunday against St. Louis.

Star update--This is the second meeting in five days between the Ducks and Stars. The Stars beat the Ducks, 3-2, on Monday at the Pond, scoring two of their three goals on power plays. Dallas has manhandled the Ducks during much of the series history, particularly at Reunion Arena, where the Ducks haven’t won since Dec. 7, 1993, a stretch of five games. Sergei Makarov, 38, a Duck-killer when he was with San Jose, is expected to play his first NHL game since May, 1995. Dallas signed him last month.
