Dallas Powers Its Way Past Edmonton, 7-3

The Dallas Stars turned on the power at Edmonton on Sunday night, scoring three times on five power-play opportunities, scoring five consecutive goals at one point and outshooting the Oilers 19-4 in the second period en route to an easy 7-3 victory.

Greg Adams and rookie Jamie Langenbrunner supplied much of the power, scoring two goals apiece. Adams also added two assists.

The victory improved the Stars’ Central Division-leading record to 13-5-1 while the Oilers, who have lost seven of their last 11 games, dropped to 9-11.
