Eos Corp. Manufactures Its 1,000,000th Adapter

Eos Corp., a manufacturer of high-density power-conversion products, has produced its 1,000,000th power adapter, a 70-watt AC laptop power supply.

The adapter is being used by Dell Computer on its Model XPi laptop computer.

“The production of our one millionth unit is a significant milestone in our history,” said Frank Perna Jr., Eos chairman and chief executive officer. “We’ve proven without a doubt that we can manufacture our products to world-class standards and surpass the expectations of our customers for quality and performance.”

With headquarters in Camarillo, Eos manufactures power supplies for several computer manufacturers, including Texas Instruments, Digital Equipment and Acer. In addition, the company designs and manufactures lighting and power-conversion products.

The company operates two 23,000-square-foot manufacturing facilities, with a third of nearly equal size scheduled to come on line during the latter part of this fiscal year.
