Share

Opponent--San Antonio Spurs.

Site--Forum.

Time--7:30.

TV--Fox Sports West.

Radio--KLAC (570), KWKW (1330).

Records--Lakers 8-4, Spurs 2-8.

Record vs. Spurs--0-1.

Laker update--They get a chance to avenge last Wednesday’s disaster at San Antonio, a 95-83 loss to an undermanned team in which the Lakers shot only 39.5% and committed 23 turnovers. That was also the night Cedric Ceballos suffered his partially torn tendon in the right knee. He is scheduled to take the first step today toward a return in five to seven weeks with the start of rehabilitation exercises.

Spur update--David Robinson, out because of a lower back strain, will be examined today at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic and, if cleared, may make his season debut tonight. Greg Anderson has been starting at center in his place, with Will Perdue backing him up. Robinson’s return would come as the Spurs are off to the worst start in franchise history and averaging only 81.9 points a game. Dominique Wilkins leads at 16.1, but he is shooting 36.3%.
