Farmers Market Produces No Problems

When the Corona del Mar farmers market opened six months ago, some residents were concerned that it would generate garbage, noise and parking problems.

But a study to be presented to the City Council on Monday indicates that those worries were unfounded.

“There were never any problems with the market, just fears that there would be problems,” Mayor John W. Hedges said Friday. “It has turned into a really nice community event.”

The farmers market is open each Saturday in the municipal parking lot at Marguerite Avenue and Bayside Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
