Titans at Home for Soccer Playoff Game Sunday

Cal State Fullerton will host a second-round NCAA Division I men’s soccer tournament game against Creighton at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Creighton, which is in Omaha, didn’t bid to host, assuring Fullerton of the home-field advantage.

Fullerton defeated UCLA, 2-1, and Creighton beat Southern Methodist, 2-0, in first-round games Sunday at Titan Field.

Damion Dawson, a 6-2 guard from USC, will transfer to UC Irvine for next season, a UCI official said.

Dawson, a graduate of Long Beach Poly, averaged two points in 24 games for USC last season, but was academically ineligible for this season. He is attending Compton College. Dawson isn’t playing basketball at Compton, leaving him three years of eligibility.
