Ambulance Teams to Deliver Holiday Meals
Five ambulance teams will spread through the city today to deliver Thanksgiving meals to homebound senior citizens.
The program will benefit about 150 Anaheim residents, thanks to the nonprofit Feedback Foundation and volunteers from MedTrans Southern California.
“While we’ve always known that these daily meals provide a critical health service for hundreds of older people, I never dreamed they would be delivered by emergency personnel,” said Shirley A. Cohen, Feedback Foundation’s executive director. “I’m sure that our homebound clients are going to love this extra holiday touch.”
