Child Seeks More Activities for Kids

I am 12 [and] feel there should be more activities in our county for children and teens. Often my friends and I will go to shopping centers to hang out, but many store owners feel we should be playing somewhere else.

Truthfully, there is nowhere else. Sure, there are movies and amusement parks, but they both involve spending money or driving a long way.

I feel that kids and teens should be active, but many limits cut this opportunity down for us. I feel we should build a big center full of sport fields, mini-mall, movies, arcade, a lake or pool and an art center. There would be many supervisors throughout the park to help the children learn and have fun. We should make the prices more reasonable so more kids could come, and it would be located in the center of many cities. My parents say that when kids are active they’re learning, so why are we making it so difficult to do so?
