FBI Seeking Leads on Serial Bank Robber
The FBI is searching for a serial bank robber dubbed “The Accountant” for his business suits, ties and briefcase.
The robber is wanted in connection with at least seven holdups in Orange County, all at branches of Union Bank of California.
He is clean-shaven, 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, with short brown hair and glasses. He demands cash with a note, uses verbal threats and sometimes flashes a gun at tellers.
“We still don’t know his identity, and we are hoping someone in the public will recognize him from that very good surveillance photo from one of the robberies,” said Joseph T. White, a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The bandit is wanted in connection with Sept. 18 to Nov. 22 bank robberies in Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, San Clemente, Cypress and Huntington Beach.
