Devils’ Lamoriello Gets Olympic Post

Share

New Jersey Devil General Manager Lou Lamoriello, who held the same position with the victorious U.S. team in the World Cup of Hockey, on Friday was appointed general manager of the 1998 U.S. Olympic team.

The Nagano Games will for the first time feature NHL players representing their homelands. The NHL will take a 16-day break to allow players to participate.

Although Lamoriello said no timetable has been set for selecting a coach, Mighty Duck Coach Ron Wilson is the logical candidate based on his World Cup and international success.
