Clipper update--They ended a four-game losing streak with a 97-94 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night. Center Kevin Duckworth, hampered by a knee injury, had 10 points and three rebounds in 25 minutes. Guard Darrick Martin, who started in place of point guard Pooh Richardson, out because of an ankle injury, had nine points and six assists.

King update--They have lost 11 of 17 games since losing starting power forward Brian Grant to a shoulder injury. Grant averaged 12.8 points and a team-high eight rebounds in the first five games. The Kings have won two of their last three games, including a 93-86 victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night. Guard Mitch Richmond, who had 24 points against the Mavericks, is averaging a team-high 21.3 points.
