Share

A man believed to have been involved in two other bank robberies this month struck again in Oxnard on Thursday, according to FBI officials.

At 12:45 p.m. the man walked into the California Federal Savings Bank on Saviers Road in Oxnard, handed a note to a teller stating he had a gun and demanding money, said Supervising Agent Gary Auer in the Ventura office of the FBI.

The teller handed over the money and the man--described as a Latino in his early 20s, about 5 feet 6 and 150 pounds--walked out of the bank and was last seen walking down Lark Street.

The man is believed to have been involved in robberies at a Santa Barbara Bank and Trust branch in Oxnard on Dec. 3 and a Home Savings Bank in Port Hueneme on Dec. 10, Auer said.

The Thursday holdup is the 49th bank robbery in the county this year.
