The Man in the Moon (Lifetime Thursday at 12:30 p.m.) Robert Mulligan scored a directorial triumph in this heartfelt, moving and gently scary 1991 ballad of a movie. Set in rural Louisiana in the 1950s, the semi-autobiographical scenario by Jenny Wingfield centers on two teenage sisters and the boy next door who becomes the focus of their lives.
