1 Killed, 4 Wounded as Gang Truce Party Erupts in Violence
A truce party between two rival gangs erupted into violence late Saturday night at the Ramona Gardens housing project in East Los Angeles, leaving one man fatally stabbed and four others wounded.
A get-together among about 150 gang members in the recreational room of the housing project came to an abrupt end when someone started flashing gang signs, sparking a knife fight that killed Ever Sanchez, 20, said Los Angeles police spokesman Eduardo Funes.
Sanchez died at the scene. Two others were critically injured and taken to County-USC Medical Center.
