Meeting Planned for Parish Women
The 29 parish women’s groups that make up the East San Fernando District of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women will meet Monday morning at St. Elisabeth’s Parish in Van Nuys.
Father John Neiman--who had a close relationship with Anne Frank’s father, Otto, in addition to others connected to the family--will be the guest speaker. Neiman, whose previous pastoral assignments include St. Charles Borromeo in North Hollywood, is now at St. Lawrence Martyr Parish in Redondo Beach.
Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Arthur E. Lirette, district moderator, of Holy Family Parish in Glendale. The event, which begins at 9:30 a.m., will be held at the church, which is at 6628 Cedros Ave. Cost for lunch is $6.50 per person. For reservations, call (818) 244-9815.
