Martin Leads UCLA Women

Freshman Maylana Martin had 30 points and 10 rebounds as the UCLA women’s basketball team defeated California, 74-65, Sunday at UCLA.
Martin, the fifth-leading scorer in the Pacific 10, had 17 points in the second half when the Bruins, 8-5 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-10, opened a 19-point lead. UCLA led, 32-25, at halftime.
Martin was 10 for 15 from the floor as UCLA shot 52% for the game.
UCLA freshman Janae Hubbard came off the bench to score a career-high 16 points.
Paige Bowie led Cal (5-8, 1-3) with 22 points.
