Anthony Quinn’s Son Stabs Suspect Who Tried to Rob Him
The son of actor Anthony Quinn stabbed a gunman who tried to rob him in West Hollywood, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
Francesco Quinn, 33, of West Hollywood, was in the 900 block of North Hancock Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Thursday when he was grabbed from behind, felt something sharp against his neck, and was told to hand over his money, police said.
Instead, Quinn removed a folding knife from his pocket and stabbed the suspect in the right side of his abdomen, deputies said.
Quinn fled as the suspect, reportedly armed with a gun, loosened his grip. Quinn went to a police station and reported the robbery.
Bryant Golden, 20, of Los Angeles, was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a stab wound and booked on suspicion of attempted armed robbery, authorities said.
A witness who reportedly saw Golden arrive led deputies to a second suspect, Anthony Sousa, 21, of Hollywood, who allegedly drove Golden to the hospital, authorities said.
A handgun was recovered in their vehicle, deputies said.
Sousa was also booked on suspicion of attempted armed robbery, and both men are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
