Ingram Micro Names Vice President of Exports

Ulla Rodman has been appointed vice president of Ingram Micro Inc.’s export division. Rodman will be responsible for overseeing sales and marketing efforts of the division in Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She joined Ingram Micro in 1993 as director of the export division and last year was promoted to senior director. Ingram Micro, based in Santa Ana, is a wholesale distributor of technology products and services.

* Becky Locke has been named director of marketing for Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley. She was previously director of marketing at South Bay Medical Center and, before that, director of business development at Tuscon General Hospital.

* Marquis L. Cummings has been named chief financial officer of Capital Pacific Holdings Inc., a Newport Beach home builder. He had been vice president of finance and treasurer. Cummings succeeds Anthony M. Laughlin, who resigned to pursue his consulting business but who will continue to serve as a consultant to the company.

* Jeffrey Thiel has joined CardioVascular Dynamics Inc. in Irvine as vice president, manufacturing operations. Thiel has more than 15 years of experience in the medical device industry, including eight years in management positions with St. Jude Medical.

* Joe Dittrich has joined Interstate Electronics Corp. as director of government relations in the Washington-area office. Before joining the Anaheim-based company, Dittrich headed a private consulting firm. He has also been with Texas Instruments, UTC-Norden Systems and Westinghouse Norden Systems.

* Jeff Michael has been named a principal at A.T. Kearney in Costa Mesa, a management consulting firm. Prior to joining the company in 1995, Michael was a senior associate with Booz, Allen & Hamilton in Chicago.

* Richard E. Atnip has been elected to the board of directors of the National Automatic Merchandising Assn., based in Chicago. He is president of Atnip Co., a vending products broker in Fullerton.

* Donna Kather has been appointed managing director of the Benjamin Group Inc., a public relations and marketing firm in Irvine, and will oversee operations and resources management for the Southern California office. Kather was formerly an account supervisor at Poppe Tyson Public Relations. Before that, she held public relations management positions at Western Digital and AST Research Inc.

* Richard Allen has joined Catellus Residential Group in Irvine, a subsidiary of Catellus Development Corp., as purchasing manager. He was previously project manager with J.M. Peter Co. Allen has also held management positions with McCulloch Realty Inc., Ponderosa Homes and Kaufman & Broad Multi-Family Inc. In addition, Rhea Chapman has been appointed merchandising manager. She was formerly a marketing representative for the La Vida del Mar retirement community in Solana Beach.

* Melba Slavin has been named director of UCI Extension’s Women’s Opportunities Center, an education, career and life planning center. She had been a volunteer at the center for the past year. Slavin has worked as a therapist, caseworker and at-risk counselor.

* Jerry Anderson has been named president and chief operating officer of the Newport Beach Country Club. Anderson, who has been with the club since 1986, had been vice president and general manager.

* Robert A. Burton has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Krause’s Furniture Inc. in Brea. He was formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer of Breuners Home Furnishings and, before that, vice president and controller at Marshall Fields. In addition, Thomas J. Beale has been appointed vice president, stores. Beale was most recently regional vice president of Macy’s West. He was also a regional vice president of the Broadway Stores division of Carter, Hawley, Hale. Cynthia Stein has joined the company as vice president, human resources. She was previously director of human services at Macy’s West.
