Youth Steals Man’s Truck at Gunpoint

A Simi Valley man’s truck was stolen at gunpoint Sunday evening in front of his home in the 1800 block of Rory Lane.
Edward Black, 47, was getting out of his red 1996 Ford Ranger pickup at about 7:30 p.m. when he was approached by a white teenager about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds, a Simi Valley Police Department spokesman said.
The youth pulled out a handgun and pointed it at Black’s face, demanded his wallet and then took his vehicle, the spokesman said.
Police said they had not recovered the vehicle.
