Duck update--Guy Hebert, who is 13-10-2 with a 2.40 goals-against average in the past 25 games, is expected to start in goal tonight. His franchise-record streak of 19 consecutive starts ended Tuesday when Mikhail Shtalenkov started and the Ducks lost to the New York Islanders, 4-3. Left wing Paul Kariya has 11 goals in the past 11 games. The Ducks haven’t won in Maple Leaf Gardens since a 1-0 victory on Dec. 15, 1993.

Maple Leaf update--Toronto is last in the Western Conference and taking a beating from fans and the media. But despite continued rumors, the Maple Leafs have resisted making trades to bolster their lineup. Veteran center Doug Gilmour and goalie Felix Potvin are among the names most frequently mentioned in potential deals. Mats Sundin has been the only bright light, leading Toronto with 29 goals and 62 points.
