Caliber Collision Plans Expansion
Caliber Collision Centers Inc. said Thursday that it has received a $20-million investment from a company controlled by Texas businessman Robert M. Bass and a unit of the Zurich Group insurance company to acquire collision repair centers in California.
Caliber said it has acquired three collision repair centers in Hollywood, Rialto and Riverside as part if its plan to expand in Southern California. In the future, the company plans to expand into the northern part of the state and elsewhere, the company said.
Caliber plans to apply managed care concepts that have been effective in the health-care industry in order to streamline the automobile insurance claims process, the company said.
