In another women’s game:

Rancho Santiago 63, Riverside 47--Antoinette Thompson scored 28 points on 12 of 17 shooting for visiting Rancho Santiago (17-7, 4-4), which stopped a four-game losing streak.

In Orange Empire Conference men’s games:

Fullerton 76, Golden West 73--Golden West’s Ray Jimmerson had 24, including three three-pointers, to give him an Orange County career record 213 for visiting Golden West.

Sterling Rachal had 15 for first-place Fullerton (16-10, 9-1).

Irvine Valley 76, Orange Coast 56--J.C. Timmons had 16 as visiting Irvine Valley (22-6, 9-1) remained tied for first place.

Saddleback 87, Cypress 80--Saddleback, which scored 37 points in a loss to Irvine Valley Wednesday, had five players score in double figures at Cypress.

Michael Riggins scored 19, Scott Duffy had 18, Lief Kemp 15, Brian Scoggin 12 and Brian Perkins 10. Duffy and Kemp each had nine rebounds for the Gauchos (14-11, 5-5).

Frankie Floyd had 27 points and Willie Allen and A.D. Lamoureux each had 15 for Cypress (12-13, 4-6).

In the Apache Classic baseball tournament:

Orange Coast 8, San Bernardino Valley 2--Chad Johnson hit a first-inning grand slam for Orange Coast. The home run is Johnson’s fourth of the season.

Orange Coast 8, El Camino 4--Chad Nickerson had a bases-loaded single as Orange Coast (5-2) had a six-run sixth inning. Darren Chandler had two triples for the Pirates.

In the Cypress Mitsubishi Classic:

Cypress 16, Antelope Valley 0--Greg Jacobs, Craig Kuzmic, Junior Rodriguez and Lance Williams each had three hits for Cypress (5-2).

Saddleback 6, San Diego Mesa 4--Michael Palumbo picked up his second save of the day by retiring all seven batters he faced for Saddleback (5-0). Palumbo picked up his first save in a 8-6 victory over Mt. San Jacinto. In the eighth, Kirk Bolling doubled in the tying run and scored the go-ahead run on Kyle Kane’s groundout. Bolling had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.

Golden West 15, Mt. San Jacinto 5--Adam Bass had three hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs for host Golden West (3-1). Teammate Casey Flanigan also had three hits, including two doubles, three RBIs and two runs.

At the Long Beach softball tournament:

Fullerton wins twice--The Hornets (2-0) advanced to the winners’ bracket final with a 6-0 first-round victory over El Camino and an 11-2 second-round victory over Hancock. Kristy Bonwell had five hits in the two games and Laura Flain pitched a one-hitter in the victory over El Camino.

In nonconference men’s tennis:

Saddleback 7, Long Beach 2--Kunio Koga of Saddleback (2-0) rallied from a one-set deficit to defeat Kenji Hara-Joesting, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Long Beach is 1-2.
