NEW MEXICO STATE (12-7, 6-3) at UC IRVINE (1-17, 1-8)
Time--7 p.m. Radio--KUCI-FM (88.9)
Irvine is only two games out of second place in the Big West’s Western division, but there seems little chance the Anteaters can make up the ground. They blew a good chance Thursday, losing to North Texas, 75-74, in double overtime. Irvine made 10 of 24 free throws and blew leads at the end of regulation and the first overtime. New Mexico State is not the power that once dominated the conference, but the Aggies are still formidable. Louis Richardson averages 18 points and Enoch Davis and Antoine Hubbard each average 14.
