A Legal Lesson on Developments
Re: County Vows to Fight Massive Newhall Project, 2/5/97.
The supervisors for Ventura County should take a lesson from their own county attorneys. Suing large developments because of “environmental concerns” won’t work. Just ask Los Angeles County, the county which sued Ventura County over its environmentally destructive Ahmanson Ranch development.
But, as the old saying goes, “Those who do not learn from the past are condemned to relive it.”
