Rising Tide: The Dow Jones Industrial Average topped 7,000 for the first time Thursday (D1), and stocks of many Valley-based companies floated up with it. All in the Family: What do you do if your mother, father, grandmother and grandfather are all Nobel Prize-winning scientists? Well, if you’re Helene Langevin-Joliot, you become a world-renowned nuclear physicist. . . . Speaking at CSUN on Thursday (B4), Langevin-Joliot said with a wink, “You can’t pass down scientific ability through genetics.”
