Watson General Corp.: The Irvine remote-monitoring software company said it lost $249,000, or 2 cents a share, for the first quarter of fiscal 1997 ended Dec. 31. That compares with a year-earlier net loss of $360,000, or 4 cents a share. Sales more than doubled to $1.3 million from $548,000, due in part to an acquisition.
