Xircom Elevates Russo to Chief Operating Officer

Xircom Inc. in Thousand Oaks has announced the promotion of Carl E. Russo to executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Russo has been vice president and general manager at Xircom since 1995. In his new role, he will be responsible for worldwide sales and marketing, product development and operations.

Before joining Xircom, Russo held executive positions at Network Systems Corp., Channel Networking Group. and AT&T; Paradyne Inc.

Xircom manufactures PC card communications products to connect mobile and remote portable computer users to corporate networks, the Internet and other online services.
