Vargas Scheduled to Fight Wallace
Greg Wallace of Oakland, 2-2 with one knockout, will fight former U.S. Olympic boxer Fernando Vargas of Oxnard, making his professional debut, March 25 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.
The four-round welterweight bout will be televised live nationally by USA cable network. In a 12-round main event, Kip Diggs (27-2, 19 knockouts) will defend his North American Boxing Federation welterweight title against Derrell Coley (29-1-2).
Also scheduled is a 10-round bout between former world welterweight champions Jose Luis Lopez (37-3-1, 29 KOs) and Jorge Vaca (57-16-1, 48 KOs).
