King update--The Kings ended a seven-game winless streak with a 3-1 victory over the Mighty Ducks on Thursday at the Forum. Jeff Shevalier had two goals and Roman Vopat one as the Kings kept alive their slim playoff hopes. Goaltender Stephane Fiset had 27 saves against the Ducks and has given up only five goals in his last three starts. Starting tonight, the Kings will play six consecutive games against Pacific Division opponents.

Canuck update--Alexander Mogilny scored two goals and added an assist to lead Vancouver to a 6-1 victory at San Jose on Thursday. The Canucks, who will play at Anaheim on Sunday, would qualify for the playoffs if they began today. Mogilny leads the team with 26 goals and 58 points.
