Long Beach State Runs Streak to Five
Long Beach State added to its season-high winning streak Saturday night with a 72-61 Big West Conference victory over Cal State Fullerton before 3,535 at the Pyramid.
Guard James Cotton scored a game-high 27 points for Long Beach State, which has won five in a row. Guard Brandon Titus added 18 points and reserve forward Marcus Johnson set a personal best with 16 rebounds as the 49ers improved to 12-12 overall and 8-6 in the Western Division.
The Titans (11-13, 4-10) have lost three in a row and eight of 10.
