When long and lean is the look you want, Cassina’s Met sofa and sectional pieces won’t come up short.
The tightly upholstered body of the furniture seems to float above tubular legs of polished or brushed aluminum.
Designed by Piero Lissoni, the Met collection is modern, clean and sleek. Lissoni creates a corner unit with three angles, rather than the usual 90-degree angle, for a softer shape that is much more comfortable than a typical corner piece.
The Met collection also includes benches and armchairs with leg-rest extensions that give the feeling of stretching out on a chaise longue. Also available are cocktail and accent tables. The cocktail tables, with generous tops, are low to the ground for a dramatic effect.

Looking Glass
From every angle, these mirrors are more than the usual circle, square or rectangle.
Taking geometrics one step further, Flos’ Bagno Collection combines simple mirrors and lights to craft out-of-the-ordinary bathroom fixtures.
There are three styles in the collection by Matteo Thun .
The Classic line has the look of a bull-nose frame on square and round mirrors. The Sand line applies a sandblasted edge, which gives the appearance of a non-reflecting flat frame for circles, squares and a rectangle. The 3-D line is laser cut from behind to create a border of spheres.
Accompanying light fixtures range from bell-shaped flowers to rosettes to simple shapes.
The mirrors range from $295 to $895, depending on size. The light fixtures are $75 and up.

Just Chillin’
Some like it red, some like it white, but all wine drinkers like their favorite vintage at the right temperature.
Aiming to please all the people all the time, Screwpull’s newest wine cooler does just that. The cooler keeps two bottles at separate temperatures in one unit. The key is the center elements, which can be independently chilled or left at room temperature to accommodate individual tastes.
The cooler (about $40) is made of translucent acrylic, so it will work with all table styles. To save space, a table grip (about $28), with rubber ends to protect your tabletop, is available, as is a floor stand (about $86) in chrome and black with a towel rack.
These items are available at Bristol Kitchens in Long Beach and Manhattan Beach. The company will open a branch in Newport Beach this summer.
