Police Arrest 22 in Prostitution Sting
Police from three departments conducted a joint prostitution sting Friday night, arresting two suspected prostitutes and 20 other people on charges of soliciting sex from undercover police officers, Buena Park police said.
The operation was set up near Stanton Avenue and Beach Boulevard in Buena Park. Of the 20 males arrested, one was a 17-year-old, police said.
Of the 22 people arrested, three were held on outstanding warrants from other charges. The remaining 19 were released with citations, police said.
The sting involved officers from the Buena Park, Fullerton and Cypress police departments.
