Deputies to Watch Kensington Avenue
Complaints of drivers traveling at excessive speeds through a Thousand Oaks neighborhood have led sheriff’s deputies to name Kensington Avenue its Traffic Tip of the Week.
Beginning today and running through Saturday, deputies will be enforcing speed laws on Kensington Avenue in the morning and afternoon hours, when there are many pedestrians--including children--in the area, said Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Bailey.
Residents have complained that traffic moves at excessive speeds, primarily from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 4:30 to 6 p.m., Bailey said. Kensington Avenue is a main feeder street into Avenida De Los Arboles.
