The numbers didn’t bode well for the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night in Cleveland. The Bucks had lost eight consecutive games. And they had lost seven in a row in Cleveland, having gone winless there for four years.

But Milwaukee’s Vin Baker put up some impressive numbers of his own, getting 25 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Bucks to a 90-82 victory over the Cavaliers.

The last Milwaukee win in Cleveland was on Nov. 5, 1993.

Terrell Brandon, who had shot only 37% in his previous seven games, made 11 of 21 shots, winding up with 25 points along with 10 assists for Cleveland.

San Antonio 102, Indiana 98--Avery Johnson scored a season-high 26 points and added nine assists to lead the injury-depleted Spurs at Indianapolis.

The victory gave the Spurs back-to-back wins for the first time since Jan. 3, and broke the Pacers’ four-game home winning streak.

Johnson’s layup with 52 seconds left gave San Antonio a 96-93 lead, and Indiana misfired on its next four possessions while the Spurs went on an 8-0 run.

The loss spoiled Dale Davis’ 20-point, 18-rebound effort for Indiana, his fourth double-double in the last six games. Rik Smits led the Pacers with 26 points.

The Spurs were without Will Perdue and Monty Williams, in addition to David Robinson.
