Clipper update--They’ve dropped four straight, including a 91-85 loss to the Detroit Pistons Saturday night, but have a three-game lead over the Phoenix Suns for the final Western Conference playoff berth. The Clippers, who defeated the Warriors by 12 points in their season-opener at San Jose on Nov. 1, have won two of three games from the Warriors this season. Center Lorenzen Wright played only 17 minutes against the Pistons, getting five points and two rebounds. It was the fewest minutes he has played in 18 games.

Warrior update--They ended a three-game losing streak with a 108-101 victory over the Orlando Magic Friday night and won again Sunday night, beating the Sacramento Kings, 102-98. Latrell Sprewell, who scored 20 points Sunday night, is among the league leaders in scoring (25.8), assists (6.3) and minutes (41.9).
