Youth Conference to Take Place Today

The city’s second Community Conference on Youth will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at La Palma Community Center, 7821 Walker St. City officials said the free event is open to residents of all ages. A light dinner and child care will be provided.

The gathering will hear reports on the city’s Youth 20/20 Project launched last year. The project is designed to help young people avoid delinquency. Those attending will also have an opportunity to sign up for support committees for the youth project.
