10 Injured When Car Crashes Near Border
A Hyundai sedan packed with 10 suspected illegal immigrants lost control and crashed into a boulder on a rural highway Sunday, injuring all of them, authorities said.
The extent of their injuries was not immediately known, although no one died at the scene, said U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Ron Henley.
The Hyundai Excel was traveling eastbound on Highway 94 near the Mexican border when its driver saw a Border Patrol vehicle. Agents reported that the car crashed as it was making a U-turn.
Agents were not pursuing the vehicle, Henley said.
