Former Texaco Exec Pleads Innocent

A former Texaco Inc. executive whose secret tape recordings of supervisors triggered a $176-million racial-discrimination settlement against the oil company pleaded innocent to charges that he obstructed justice. Richard Lundwall was indicted earlier this month by a federal grand jury in White Plains, N.Y., where Texaco is based, after he and prosecutors failed to reach an agreement that would have allowed him to plead guilty to a misdemeanor rather than face trial on a felony charge.
