Thousands Expected at Science Exposition
By the time Moorpark College’s third annual Science Exposition comes to an end, organizers hope several thousand college and high school students will have tasted what a career in science can offer.
The all-day expo April 9 will highlight recent scientific developments and show science-minded students the career paths available to them. With guest lecturers from Amgen, Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Kavlico, those attending can listen to discussions on such topics as overpopulation, data encryption and fiber optics.
Knowledge contests scheduled throughout the day will include a science-oriented version of the Jeopardy game show and a “Name that pH” contest.
In addition to students, members of the community are welcome to attend. For more information, call 378-1579.
