Neighborhood Cleanup Program Will Lend Tools To Volunteers

Share

Residents who volunteer to help clean up the Oakview and Washington neighborhoods will be able to borrow tools and pick up supplies from the city to do the job.

Groups of at least 10 that want to tidy alleys or remove trash and weeds from vacant lots and rights of way may check out rakes, brooms, garbage bags, gloves and even trash bins from the Oakview Community Center.

Each volunteer group must get an application from the center two weeks in advance of when the work is to be done. Groups may check out equipment any day of the week for use from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
