Clipper update--They have lost the first three games of a seven-game trip and have dropped into eighth place in the Western Conference. The schedule could work against the Clippers, who have a 2 1/2-game lead over the Sacramento Kings for the last playoff berth in the Western Conference. The Clippers play seven of their final 11 games on the road. And one of the home games is in Anaheim. They also have three sets of games on consecutive nights, including a game against the Lakers at the Sports Arena on April 18 and the regular-season finale at Seattle on April 19.

Heat update--The Heat has collapsed in the fourth quarter of its last two games. After scoring only nine points in the final quarter in beating the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, the Heat failed to score a field goal in the final six minutes of Sunday’s 102-97 loss at Toronto. Tim Hardaway, perhaps the comeback player of the year, is averaging 20.3 points and 8.6 assists.
