Boston Still Digging Out From Blizzard

A state of emergency remained in effect in Massachusetts, and most schools and some universities were still closed after 24 inches of snow fell in Boston, the third-biggest snowstorm on record in the city. Although major highways and main streets were largely clear, secondary roads and city streets remained a mess. Three deaths were blamed on the blizzard, all men who had heart attacks while shoveling snow.
