Share

Police are searching for two men who kidnapped a Port Hueneme resident at knifepoint, stabbed him and stole his sport utility vehicle Monday morning, near Five Points in Ventura.

Guillermo Fernandez, 34, told police he was waiting for a friend in the 2800 block of East Main Street when his 1996 Chevrolet Suburban was commandeered about 2:20 a.m.

One of the suspects put a knife to Fernandez’s throat and forced him to the back of the vehicle and the other got behind the wheel and began driving around town, Ventura Police Sgt. William Bogner said. As they drove, Fernandez was stabbed several times in his legs.

The men eventually forced Fernandez from the vehicle and drove off. He was treated at Ventura County Medical Center and released.

Bogner described the vehicle as purple, with custom wheels, tinted windows and a 3-inch lift kit. The license plate is 3PIN520. The suspects are still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous, he said. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Ventura Police Department.
